Advantages and disadvantages of micro stepper motors and DC motors

Stepper motors have advantages in position control, that is, they can stop at a relatively accurate position. At present, some small machines such as micro printers, which originally used DC motors, have begun to use micro stepper motors because of their strong position control capabilities.
There are two types of DC motors:
1. Brushed DC motor: The main advantage is that it is cheap, and the disadvantage is that it has carbon brushes and is easy to break. In addition, the drive control circuit is also simple and cheap
2. Brushless DC motor: The main advantage is long life and high speed control accuracy. The disadvantage is that the drive circuit is a bit troublesome and a bit expensive (compared with brushed ones)
Both DC motors can only control the speed, but cannot control the stop position of the motor, so they are still problematic when used in products with strict position requirements.
