DC planetary gearmotors are a common type of power transmission device, which are mainly divided into two types: brushed DC gearmotors and brushless gearmotors.
Brushed DC motors, due to their use of carbon brushes as a power source, work stably but have a relatively short service life due to the wear and tear of carbon brushes. The general brushed geared motors on the market have a lifespan of about 1,000 hours, and some of them even have a lifespan of only a few hundred hours.
In contrast, brushless DC geared motors offer significant advantages. Due to the absence of carbon brushes, their lifespan is significantly increased, and can usually reach more than 3,000 hours or even longer.
These motors are not limited by the life of the carbon brushes, making them more durable and long-lasting.
In terms of performance, brushless geared motors are known for their long life, low noise and high torque. However, these advantages also make their price increase compared to brush motors, sometimes even more than double. This is partly a reflection of their performance and quality advantages.
DC planetary geared motors have a wide range of applications in various fields, such as office automation, smart homes, production automation, medical equipment, financial machinery, and gaming machines
They are used to achieve smooth torque transmission and provide high torque even in a small volume, for example, they play a key role in automation equipment such as hollow blinds, smart toilets, automatic drying racks, power tools, automatic window openers, automatic curtains, glass curtain walls, bank ATMs, automatic money counting machines, and banknote vending machines.
