Stepper motors do not have strict power supply requirements and do not require voltage regulation. As long as the current requirement is met, a transformer with a similar voltage and after rectification and filtering is sufficient.

It is best not to use a switching power supply for a stepper motor, because switching power supplies have peak protection, while stepper drivers often exhibit peak phenomena. Furthermore, switching power supplies are generally less reliable than transformers with rectifier circuits.

The components of a stepper motor driver control system typically consist of three parts: a control circuit, a drive circuit, and the stepper motor. Its main functions are as follows:

① Control circuit: Used to generate pulses to control the motor's speed and direction.

② Drive circuit: This is the focus of this study, consisting of the pulse signal distribution and power drive circuit shown in Figure 1. Based on the pulse and direction signals input from the controller, it provides the correct energizing sequence for each winding of the stepper motor, as well as the high voltage and high current required by the motor; it also provides various protection measures, such as overcurrent and overheat protection.

③ Stepper motor: The control signal is amplified by the driver to drive the stepper motor, which in turn drives the load.
