Brushless DC motors have long life, low noise, high torque and other characteristics. They are widely used in AI intelligence, automobiles, medical equipment, industrial automation and other industries. Due to different specifications and types, it is very important to choose brushless DC motors to meet product performance requirements.
The following are several principles for selecting brushless motors.
1. Specification selection When the power supply voltage is adjustable, the torque can be selected according to actual needs. The DC brushless motor specifications with speed close to the corresponding rated value of the product can obtain the required speed by changing the voltage; in the case of a fixed power supply voltage, if there is no suitable brushless DC motor, the appropriate specifications can be selected according to the torque, and the voltage and speed of the product can be adjusted appropriately.
2. Power selection The maximum power output of the motor is limited. If the power selection of the brushless motor is too small and the load exceeds the rated output power, the motor will be overloaded. When overloaded, the motor will heat up, vibrate, and the speed will drop. When the sound is abnormal and other phenomena are seriously overloaded, they will burn the motor. Excessive power will cause economic waste. Therefore, it is very important to reasonably select the power of the motor.
3. Type selection Give priority to high efficiency, low price, and ferrite permanent magnet DC motors with increased temperature. Only when the performance requirements are strict, small size, AlNiCo permanent magnet DC motor or rare earth permanent magnet DC motor are considered when the ambient temperature is high.
