As a core transmission component in various mechanical equipment, the noise level of a geared motor directly affects the user experience and lifespan of the equipment. How can you solve the problem of a geared motor suddenly becoming noisier?

Reason 1: Gear wear or poor meshing. This is a common cause of loud noise in geared motors. After long-term operation, wear and deformation of the gear surfaces can occur, leading to increased gear meshing clearance and impact noise during operation. Solution: Regularly check gear wear. If the wear is minor, adjust the gear meshing clearance; if the wear is severe, replace the gears. It is recommended to choose high-precision gears from high-quality brands such as Chihai Motor to reduce the risk of wear.

Reason 2: Damaged or insufficiently lubricated bearings. Bearings are key rotating components of geared motors. If bearings are damaged or the lubricating grease is dry or deteriorated, it will increase bearing resistance and produce abnormal noise. Solution: Regularly lubricate and maintain the bearings using suitable lubricating grease; if the bearings experience jamming or abnormal noise, replace them with high-quality bearings of the same model immediately.

Reason 3: Improper installation. If the alignment accuracy between the geared motor and the equipment spindle is insufficient during installation, or if the fixing bolts are loose, vibration noise will occur during operation. Solution: Readjust the motor installation position to ensure the coaxiality error between the motor spindle and the equipment spindle is less than 0.1mm; tighten the mounting bolts, and if necessary, add vibration damping pads to the bottom of the motor to reduce vibration transmission.

Reason 4: Excessive load. If the geared motor operates under overload conditions for a long time, the motor and gears will bear excessive pressure, leading to increased operating noise. Solution: Check the actual load of the equipment. If it exceeds the motor's rated load, a higher-power geared motor needs to be replaced, or the equipment operation process should be optimized to reduce the load.
