A brushless DC motor is a very common motor device. Everyone knows that the bearing of the motor is of great significance, so the requirements for it are also relatively strict. Usually do not overtighten the bearing of the motor to promote the use of the motor, but it is inevitable that the bearing of the motor will become tight. The operator is afraid of wasting the end cover bearing chamber. When repairing brushless DC motors, the tolerances of the bearing outer ring and end cover should be appropriate. The lower limit of the tolerance range is used first, and the upper limit is unwilling to be turned over. In this way, the diameter of the bearing cavity is too small, and the interference with the outer ring of the bearing increases.
In addition, maintenance personnel do not have enough understanding of the benefits of reducing the large interference of the fit tolerance on reducing the bearing noise of the DC motor. For example, after removing the bearing, it was found that the bearing outer ring and the end cover fit well. Too loose, pad copper, punch holes, or even replace the end cover, or replace the bearing, and expand the diameter of the outer ring to solve this problem. The more common method is to expand the bearing cavity of the end cover, and then insert the bearing sleeve to make the bearing and the end cover. The bearing cavity is closely matched, resulting in increased bearing noise and heating of the bearing after the motor is repaired. Due to the tight fit, the bearing heats up, causing the grease to be squeezed out, there is no lubricating oil in the bearing track (bearing working surface), and the bearing fails due to overheating.
