The worm gear reducer is a power transmission mechanism that uses a gear speed converter to reduce the number of revolutions of the motor (motor) to the desired number of revolutions and obtain a larger torque. In the current mechanism used to transmit power and motion, the application range of reducers is quite wide.
Features of worm gear reducers:
1. Compact mechanical structure, lightweight, small and efficient;
2. Good heat exchange performance and fast heat dissipation;
3. Easy installation, flexible and light, superior performance, easy maintenance and repair;
4. Smooth operation, low noise, and durable;
5. Strong usability, high safety and reliability;
Difference
1. The gear reducer does not have self-locking properties. The worm gear transmission generally has self-locking properties, with the worm as the input shaft and the turbine as the output shaft.
2. The transmission ratio of the worm gear reducer is generally much larger than that of the gear reducer.
3. The worm gear reducer realizes intersecting axis transmission (90 degrees). Gear reducers generally realize parallel shaft transmission, and also have intersecting shaft transmission (bevel gears, helical gears, curved gears, etc.)
