Different products have different performance requirements for miniature geared motors, especially the reduction ratio. The larger the reduction ratio, the lower the output speed of the reducer and the greater the torque. , Conversely, the faster the output speed, the lower the torque. In addition to the reduction ratio, what are the important parameters for the selection of micro geared motors?
1. Rated voltage
The voltage is proportional to the speed of the micromotor. The higher the voltage, the faster the speed. However, if the micro gear motor is operated beyond the rated voltage, the efficiency of the micro gear motor will decrease first, and the increase of the current will generate a lot of heat, which will shorten the service life of the micro gear motor or cause the motor to burn out due to overheating. Generally speaking, micro geared motors will have an operating voltage range. Xiaobian does not recommend that the miniature gear motor be operated beyond or below the operating voltage range (low voltage operation will also generate very large currents).
2. No-load speed
No-load speed refers to the faster speed of the micro gear motor when it is not connected at rated voltage. The difference between no-load speed and load speed is relatively large, depending on the size of the load. The larger the load, the slower the output speed.
3. Rated power
The power of the miniature geared motor when it is running at the rated voltage can be calculated by the current × voltage.
4. Stall torque
Refers to the larger torque provided when the output shaft of the micro gear motor does not rotate. If the stall time exceeds a few seconds, the micro gear motor will burn out due to excessive current.
5. Stall current
Similar to the stall torque, it refers to the current consumed by the micromotor under the condition of large torque. This current is very large. Without the stall current control protection, the micro gear motor will be damaged.
6. Torque
The torque of the micro gear motor is calculated by force × distance. For example, a motor spinning at a stall torque of 10Nm can hold 10N for 1m. Likewise, it also holds 20N within 0.5m.
