In the application of motor products, sometimes products with high torque are required, such as miniature geared motors. In addition to the micro geared motor, the torque motor can achieve large torque output, so what is the difference between the micro geared motor and the torque motor?
Torque motor
The special point of the torque motor is that it can run at low speed without a reducer, and when the micro motor is locked, even if the motor rotor does not rotate, the micro motor will not be damaged, and it can provide a stable torque for the load. At the same time, the torque micro motor can also provide torque in the opposite direction. The internal motor of torque motor uses DC brushless motor or switched reluctance motor like other micro motors. It can be divided into outer rotor motor and inner rotor motor. The outer rotor can generate larger torque, which is more in line with the characteristics of torque motor. Among the torque motors, there are more external rotor motors.
According to current changes, torque motors also include DC torque motors and AC torque motors. Torque motors are also limited-angle motors or swing motors. As the name suggests, they only work within a certain angle. For example, the current motor is also one of the torque motors.
Micro geared motor
Micro reduction motor, a combination of reducer and micro DC motor. The reducer is composed of several transmission gears. The micro DC motor and these transmission gears output, and the final speed gradually decelerates and slows down, and the output torque increases.
The torque output ratio of the miniature geared motor is the output of the miniature motor multiplied by the reduction ratio. The inertia of the load reduced by the speed reduction of the reducer is the square of the reduction ratio. Generally, the inertia value of a general-purpose motor can be Divided into cylindrical gear reducer, bevel gear reducer motor, planetary gear reducer, plastic gear reducer, metal gear reducer, etc. The drive motor can be micro DC motor, stepper motor, brushless motor, brushed motor, etc.
Scene application
In terms of use, the torque motor can only achieve more than 1000 revolutions, while the micro geared motor may adjust the number of revolutions according to the demand, such as hundreds of revolutions, tens of revolutions or even one revolution. The torque motor cannot do this. The micro geared motor is based on The reduction ratio can achieve greater torque, so generally in the application of electronic products, gear reduction motors will be more widely used.
