▍Brushed DC Motors
Brushed DC motors are widely used in electronic locks. The stator of a brushed motor has fixed main magnetic poles and brushes, while the rotor has armature windings and a commutator. DC power enters the armature winding through brushes and a commutator, generating armature current. The magnetic field generated by the armature current interacts with the main magnetic field to produce electromagnetic torque, causing the motor to rotate and drive the load. It has the advantages of convenient and simple speed regulation and low cost.
▍DC Brushless Motor
Similar to brushed motors, brushless motors are motors without brushes and commutators (or slip rings), also known as commutatorless motors. Brushless motors possess the advantages of traditional DC motors while eliminating carbon brushes and slip rings. They are small in size, light in weight, have high output power, excellent torque characteristics, good torque performance at medium and low speeds, high starting torque, and low starting current. However, speed regulation is more complex, and the cost is higher.
▍Coreless DC Motor
Coreless motors have the advantages of small size, high efficiency, rapid starting and braking, and extremely fast response. Coreless motors belong to the DC permanent magnet servo and control motor category and can also be classified as micro-motors, which are also a type of DC motor. Coreless motors possess outstanding energy-saving characteristics, sensitive and convenient control features, and stable operation. Even at high speeds, the speed can be easily and sensitively adjusted, exhibiting highly reliable operational stability with minimal speed fluctuations. As a micro-motor, its speed fluctuations are easily controlled. It is widely used in smart locks, electronic locks, and fingerprint locks.
