Dc motor is an important electric machine widely used in various mechanical fields. Its working principle is to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy, and realize the work of the machine by realizing the rotating power of the motor.
The use of DC motor:
1. Cable connections are correct. Before using the DC motor, we should first ensure that the wiring is correct, otherwise not only can not work normally, but also may burn the motor. The correct wiring is to connect the positive terminal of the power supply to the positive terminal of the motor, and the negative terminal of the power supply to the negative terminal of the motor.
2. Reasonable selection. Choosing suitable type and specification of DC motor is the key. Under different working environments, different types of DC motors need to be selected. For example, for machines with harsh working environments or high operating accuracy requirements, high-performance DC motors need to be selected.
3. Speed adjustment is appropriate. In order to achieve the best working effect, the DC motor needs to adjust the speed. Usually speed regulation can be adopted by variable voltage, variable current, mechanical pole equivalence. Different speed regulation methods are not the same for different machines and working environments.
4. Maintenance. Regular maintenance and maintenance is required during the use of DC motors. This can not only extend the service life of the motor, but also ensure the normal operation of the motor. Common maintenance tasks include cleaning the motor, adding lubricants and replacing damaged parts.
Common DC motor maintenance methods:
1. Cleaning: Regularly clean the dust and oil on the surface of the DC motor shell to avoid the accumulation of dust inside the motor for a long time, causing damage to the heat dissipation and insulation layer of the motor. However, be careful not to use tools such as high pressure water guns when cleaning, so as to avoid water infiltration into the motor and cause short circuit.
2. Maintenance of motor bearings: the bearings of the motor are the most easily worn and damaged parts during the operation of the motor, so they should be refueled or replaced regularly. When refueling, it is necessary to confirm that the oil used meets the specifications, and only add an appropriate amount of oil, not too much, so as not to cause excessive friction of the bearing.
3. Check the electrical part of the motor: The electrical part of the DC motor is prone to moisture, oxidation or aging and failure. Check the connection, cable, switch and other parts of the electrical part regularly, and deal with the problem in time to ensure the normal operation of the motor.
4. Prevent motor overload: In the normal operation of the motor, to avoid the occurrence of overload. Overload will cause the motor to generate excessive heat, resulting in damage to the motor structure and mechanical components, and the maintenance cost will be greatly increased.
The precautions for maintaining the DC motor are: when using, be sure to follow the use standards on the product manual, and do not expose the motor to humid rainfall, high temperature and high humidity. If the DC motor is found to have abnormal sound, overheating, abnormal current, etc., the motor should be shut down in time and contact maintenance personnel for maintenance.
