Method For Changing The Speed Of A DC Motor

We are familiar with DC motors, but we may only know its speed control knowledge. We don't know much about its speed. In fact, the speed is also an important parameter. Then we will introduce the method of changing its speed.

(1) Adjust the armature voltage. Changing the armature voltage and changing the speed is a constant torque speed regulation method with fast dynamic response, which is suitable for systems requiring a wide range of stepless smooth speed regulation.

(2) Changing the main magnetic flux of the motor can only weaken the magnetic flux and make the motor shift upward from the rated speed. It is a constant power speed control method, and the dynamic response is slow. Although it can be steplessly smoothed, the speed range is small.

(3) Change the resistance of the armature circuit R in the outer series of the motor armature to adjust the speed, only the stage speed regulation, poor smoothness, soft mechanical characteristics and low efficiency.
