Explanation of the three output modes of N20 reduction motor - center output, 90 degree output and 180 degree output

There are three output modes of N20 DC reduction motor on the market: center output, 90 degree output and 180 degree output;

These three conventional output modes are designed according to market demand. Of course, there are many other output modes, such as single motor and double reduction gearbox to achieve the same speed or different speed, single reduction gearbox with double motors, single reduction gearbox to achieve double output, one reduction gearbox to achieve two-dimensional output or three-dimensional output (two-direction output and three-direction output), etc. These special ones will be explained in detail later.

As shown in the chart, the differences are as follows:

 

The gear module of the center-output gearbox is the smallest, and the gearbox has the highest precision, lower noise, lightest weight, and lowest load bearing capacity; on the contrary, the 180-degree output gearbox has the lowest precision, relatively louder noise, slightly heavier weight, and the strongest load bearing capacity;
The center-output reduction motor is relatively slender and suitable for products with smaller spaces; the 180-degree output reduction motor is thinner and suitable for products with slightly larger diameters and thinner thicknesses;
Similarities:

The motor dimensions and electrical performance parameters can be made the same, and customization is also acceptable; the voltage is generally within 12V, and rarely above 12V. (Generally, small motors are used for low voltage and high speed, while large motors are used for high voltage and low speed. This N20 motor has also been trial-produced with 24V. Compared with 12V, it is louder and has a shorter lifespan)
The reduction ratio of the reduction gearbox is optional. The gear modulus can be modified within a reasonable range according to the customer's special use conditions;
The output shaft of the gearbox can be customized;
These three reduction gearboxes can not only be used with N20 motors, but also with other motors, such as N30 motors, encoders, or other stepper motors.
