Micro DC motor refers to a rotating motor whose output or input is DC power.

Composed of stator and rotor:

The stator includes: main magnetic pole, frame, commutation pole, brush device, etc.

The rotor includes: armature core, armature winding, commutator, shaft and fan, etc.

Principle of DC Motor

When the armature rotates 180°, the conductor cd goes to the N pole and the conductor ab goes to the S pole, because the direction of the current supplied by the DC power supply does not change, it still flows from the brush A, and after the conductors cd and ab, Outflow from brush B. The direction of force on conductor ab is from left to right, and the direction of the generated electromagnetic torque is still counterclockwise. Once the armature is rotated, due to the commutation effect of the commutator and the brush on the current, the DC current flows alternately from the conductors ab and cd, so that as long as the coil side is under the N pole, the direction of the passing current always flows from the brush A. The direction of the flow is always from the brush B when the S pole is down.

Features of Micro DC Motors

The efficiency of micro DC motors is higher than other types of motors, so to achieve the same output power, the volume of DC motors is generally relatively small.

The micro DC motor can automatically decelerate according to the size of the load to achieve a great starting torque.
