In various electronic products, micro DC motors have been widely used as the core driving force and vibration source. There are also many micro DC motors on the market, each with its own advantages. The main advantages of Tianfu micro motors are introduced below.

The first is the winding of the micro motor. Compared with other micro motors, the cogging torque can perform positioning and speed control steadily, and it can also improve the overall efficiency of the micro motor. The motor size design is smaller, lighter, and extremely high torque and power. . The absolute linear relationship between load and speed, current and torque, and voltage and speed. The extremely low rotor inertia provides excellent starting and stopping dynamic characteristics, extremely low noise and anti-electromagnetic interference characteristics.

Reversing system

There are two different commutations for micromotors, as mentioned in previous articles, namely precious metal commutation and graphite commutation

Precious metal commutation

Precious metal commutation refers to materials composed of high-performance precious metal alloys used in brushes and commutators. The precious metal commutation system has the characteristics of very small size, low contact resistance, and very accurate commutation signal. It is generally used in low-current micro-motor applications, such as battery-powered product applications. Noble metal commutated micro motors can show excellent overall performance under continuous operation when the load reaches the maximum power.

Graphite commutation

Graphite commutation refers to the brush material used in combination with the copper alloy commutator. The graphite commutation system is very rugged and more suitable for dynamic high-power applications with fast start/stop or periodic overload conditions.

Magnet aspect

Micromotors have many different types of magnets in terms of magnets to adapt to the performance of the micromotor types, such as AlNiCo permanent magnet materials, high-performance rare earth materials and so on.

In terms of service life

The service life of a micro motor is closely related to the operating load and operating environmental conditions, so it ranges from a few hundred hours under dual extreme conditions to several thousand hours under optimal conditions.

Commutator and brushes and mechanical wear will also affect the service life of micromotors. Electrical wear depends on the speed of the electrical load and the micro motor. As the electrical load and speed increase, the working life of the micro motor will decrease.

Especially for precious metal commutated micro motors, the wear effect is more obvious, and it will change with the rated voltage of the windings. Usually, the higher the speed, the more serious wear. For high speed and load micro motors, graphite commutation can better solve this problem.
