As a kind of industrial machinery, DC motor is very convenient to use. One important component is the brush. The brush will wear out after a long time of use. If the wear is serious, it will affect it. The normal use of the motor, we have some precautions when replacing the brush, let's take a look at it.

1. Due to the different hardness and current density of different types of brushes, the same type of brushes are used for the entire DC motor. Of course, the same batch of products is good.

2. When replacing the double-stitched brushes, be sure to pay attention to the order of the front and back, and the slopes are consistent to prevent the brush from jumping and affecting the commutation.

3. Replace a single brush and put it into use without grinding. However, if there are more than 2 brushes on the same brush arm to be replaced, sandpaper should be used to make the contact surface with the commutator not less than 75%. For special reasons, all replacements are required. After grinding, it is necessary to run for no more than 20% of the rated speed before the DC motor is put into operation.

4. Grind the new brush into the arc size of the old brush.

5, pay attention to adjust the pressure of the brush, and the size of the brush should be equal, not too big or too small.

6. The brush should not be subjected to force during the process of putting in. Pay attention to the obvious contact between the brush and the armature. Do not force it into it.

The above mentioned points are some things that should be paid attention to when replacing the DC motor brush. When replacing, pay attention to the correct selection of the brush, and the model of the machine should match each other, and then ensure that the installation is in place, otherwise the wrong installation will only The motor is not working properly and it will affect our work.
