A planetary gear motor is a power transmission mechanism that uses gears to reduce the rotational speed of a motor to a desired speed while obtaining a larger torque.

Planetary gear motors are widely used in mechanisms for transmitting power and motion. Why do planetary gear motors overheat and fail to lift loads?

I. Overloading of the planetary gear motor: poor or inappropriate lubrication, insufficient lubrication, worn bearings, or excessively high operating temperature.

Solutions: Adjust to the appropriate load, replace with appropriate lubricating oil (adding the correct amount as indicated), replace bearings, and improve ventilation.

II. Overheating of the worm gear: damaged bearings, foreign object intrusion, or excessive wear of the worm gear or worm.

Solutions: Replace or repair; replace bearings, remove foreign objects and replace lubricating oil; replace the worm gear or worm.

III. Poor meshing of the worm gear or worm, damaged bearings or excessive clearance, insufficient lubrication, or foreign object intrusion.

Solutions:
IV. Problems with the planetary geared motor transmission:
1. Improperly fixed transmission device;
2. Worm gear or damaged bearing;
3. Loose bolts;
4. Foreign object intrusion.

Solutions:
1. Secure the transmission device;
2. Replace the worm gear;
3. Replace the bearing;
4. Tighten the bolts;
5. Remove foreign object and replace the lubricating oil.

Solutions:
1. Damaged oil seal;
2. Damaged gasket;
3. Excessive oil level;
4. Loose oil plug;
5. Damaged oil level indicator.

Solutions:
1. Replace the oil seal;
2. Replace the gasket;
3. Add the appropriate amount of lubricating oil;
4. Tighten the oil plug;
5. Replace the oil level indicator.
