Gear reducers are common industrial equipment. In many cases, problems can arise if their use is not understood or if they are not repaired promptly. Common issues with gear reducers include:

1. If a very large input transmission ratio is maintained at 1800 rpm, and the rotational distance exceeds 300 mm, the gear reducer should be inspected.

2. The input power of the gear reducer under normal operating conditions should not be exceeded.

3. When the actual load is between 20% and 90% of full load, the torque should be maximized. Torque calculation is equivalent to the load factor multiplied by the full load torque. The operating temperature of the gear reducer has a significant impact on the input power.

The actual maximum input power of a gear reducer = rated current / maximum input power multiplied by the temperature coefficient -10℃ to 25℃. The temperature coefficient is equivalent to 1; the temperature coefficient at 30℃ is 0.85, and at 40℃ it is 0.65.

4. Generally, gear reducers with large reduction ratios have a clamping function, while those with small reduction ratios have a flexible clamping function. Braking systems should be installed in high-frequency and vibrating environments.

5. Gear reducers should avoid bearing lateral forces. This can be achieved by considering guide rails. Industrial equipment can use gear reducers to counteract lateral forces.
