1. Reducer heating and oil leakage: Due to the combination of non-ferrous metal worm gear and harder steel worm, the reducer will generate a lot of heat during operation. If the material matching is unreasonable, the meshing surface quality is poor, the lubricant selection or addition amount is incorrect, or the assembly quality is poor, it may cause gap formation, which will lead to oil leakage. In addition, the ambient temperature will also affect the viscosity of the oil and increase the risk of leakage.
2. Worm gear wear: The worm gear is usually made of tin bronze, and the worm is hardened with 45 steel. When the reducer is operating normally, the worm acts like a "file" to wear the worm gear. If the wear is too fast, it may be caused by factors such as inappropriate selection, overload operation, material problems or poor assembly quality.
3. Wear of the transmission small helical gear: In vertically installed reducers, the wear of the small helical gear is mostly due to insufficient lubricating oil and improper selection. When the machine is stopped, the oil is lost, and there is a lack of effective lubrication during startup or operation, which can easily lead to gear wear. Ensuring correct lubrication is the key to preventing this problem.
4. Bearing damage: Bearing damage in the reducer is common due to oil deterioration, which may be caused by moisture generated by the gear oil during hot and cold changes, causing rust and corrosion. In addition, the quality and assembly process of the bearing are crucial to prevent such problems.
