The DC brushless reducer does not use this kind of current direction conversion, but uses an inverter circuit to change the current direction. When controlling a DC brushless motor, an inverter circuit is generally used. In addition, the current value can be adjusted by changing the added voltage of each phase through the inverter circuit. In voltage regulation, PWM (Pulse Width Modulation=Pulse Width Modulation) is commonly used. PWM is a method of changing the voltage by adjusting the pulse ON/OFF time length. Its important function is to adjust the ratio of on-time to off-time (duty cycle). If the conduction rate is high, the same effect as increasing the voltage can be obtained. If the ON rate is lowered, the same effect as lowering the voltage will be produced.
There are also microcomputers equipped with dedicated hardware to implement PWM. When performing sine wave control, it is necessary to control the voltage of three phases, so the software is slightly more complicated than the 120-degree energization control of only two phases. The inverter is an indispensable circuit for driving the DC brushless motor. Inverters are also used in AC motors, but it can be considered that the so-called "inverter type" in home appliances uses brushless DC motors. Change the ON time within a period of time to change the effective value of the voltage. As the ON time of the relationship between the PWM output and the output voltage increases, the effective value is closer to the applied voltage (ON).
